The Quiet War: Canadian Front
A soldier on the edge, a government in crisis, and an enemy already inside the gates
A soldier on the edge. A government in denial. And an enemy already inside the gates.
This Canadian military and political thriller blends special operations realism, geopolitical intrigue, and psychological depth into a relentless, high-stakes mission for national survival.
For decades, Canada has neglected its military and intelligence capabilities, relying on the protection of its allies. Politically fractured and socially divided, the nation has never been more exposed. When a shadowy global organization begins its campaign to destroy the West, starting with Canada, Captain Matt Lion, once JTF2’s finest, is pulled back into the fight.
Haunted by a past mission, Matt Lion now serves as an intelligence officer, struggling to reconcile duty with personal demons. When a Canadian diplomat is kidnapped, he must lead an elite task force of special forces and intelligence professionals on a harrowing rescue mission that quickly spirals into something far more dangerous. As layers of the plot unravel, the team uncovers a sophisticated operation involving mercenaries, subversion, and foreign militaries aimed at dismantling Canada from within.
While the battle escalates overseas, journalist Sarah Bouchard’s reporting exposes fractures at home, and a young, untested politician is forced into leadership during a time of national crisis. As events collide across multiple fronts, Matt and his team find themselves at the centre of a quiet war—one fought with misinformation, terrorism, strategic deception, and impossible stakes.
Written by a former intelligence officer with decades of military experience, The Quiet War: Canadian Front is a gripping debut in a bold new series.
With its tactical realism, global scope, and emotionally grounded characters, it’s perfect for fans of Tom Clancy, Jack Carr, and military political thrillers rooted in today’s world.
